Beauty will save the world, says an old wisdom, but more and more people misunderstand its message.
Instead of striving for inner and outer beauty, people increasingly fall prey to vanity, and it takes over their entire lives, forcing them to go to extremes.
A few days ago it became clear that one of the social networks has decided to take steps against vanity. Instagram intends to officially ban and eliminate the use of all filters that allow the face of the photographed to look like after plastic surgery, reports the BBC.
The restriction of Instagram in terms of filters will affect a large number of users who want their faces to look more taut in the photos, their lips to be thicker and no wrinkles.
Experts are adamant that filters, which greatly change the appearance of people, change their faces beyond recognition, are actually a double-edged sword that makes more and more people feel insecure about the way they look.
An official statement from the company said that Instagram is reviewing some of the policies because it wants the filters it offers to bring a positive experience.
It is this desire of the company that underlies the decision to remove those controversial filters and effects that may be associated with plastic surgery.
IN the fight against vanity the company will go even further, not only removing the existing filters, but will limit the upload of new ones by users, after this option was opened a few months ago.
Among the most popular custom filters made by the users themselves are precisely those that resemble plastic interventions.
At this stage, it is difficult to estimate exactly how long it will take to remove all unacceptable filters, but the first results are already available. Consumers accept the ban and increasingly rely on natural photos.
This is the second of its kind Instagram solution, after the company announced in early 2019 that it intends to remove photos and videos showing self-harm, as they recognize that they adversely affect consumers and could encourage them to do so.
