Every pregnant woman reaches a point where it is almost impossible for her to find a comfortable sleeping position at night. Shortly after she manages to settle in, she has to get up to go to the bathroom again because of an urgent need. This often happens several times a night. Pillows for comfortable sleep of expectant mothers, waiting for the happiest moment in their lives at any time, are a really useful item in the usually long shopping list that a family makes during this period.
However, comfort is not always affordable and combined with a good price. Pillows for pregnant women are sold on the market, but not every expectant mother can afford to spend about BGN 100 to 200 for one piece. If you have a little more patience and very simple sewing skills, you can make yourself a comfortable pillow for a dreamy and peaceful sleep during the happy months of pregnancy.
First, use an old (or new, if you prefer) sheet measuring 150 cm by 200 cm. Its fabric can be satin cotton or even crepe, as long as you feel as comfortable as possible when choosing and using it. Fold the sheet in half and lengthwise (the back side out). You should already have received 1 folded sheet. Secure the two ends to each other with a heat exchanger to prevent them from moving and shifting.
If you haven't sewn yet, don't be afraid. The first thing you need to do is start the creative process by cutting out the folded sheet in half to be ready with the first step in making your pillow. Use a marker or sewing chalk to draw a cut shape that should look exactly like the English letter "J". The lower curve of "J" should fall in the lower left corner of the sheet and start from the folded side.
Its lower hook should have the maximum size, because it will correspond to the width of your pillow and be as straight as possible to turn it to the left. The "J" shape should not be thin, but thicker. That is, we need to write the letter once, and in the inner area, which it outlines, to make another smaller "J", which is at some distance from the first. It will correspond to the width that the pillow will have along its entire length.
Once we have outlined the shape, we can proceed to cut it. When we are done with the marked and cut piece of sheet and unfold it, we should have a well-defined shape that resembles the letter "U". The lower curve must be of sufficient size to be correctly proportional to the other elements, as seen in the letter itself.
So we have already received the first piece of our pillow. All we have to do is repeat the procedure already described once more. Our goal should be to cut exactly the same piece of fabric as described above.
The sheet we use for the second "U" may be a different color than the first, or it may be in an overflowing shade. Once we are ready and have two pieces in the shape of the letter "U", we can proceed to the second and final part of the creation of our pillow for pregnant women.
First we take the two pieces and place them on top of each other, taking care that the front part is not turned outwards. Then we start to sew the joined "U", leaving the upper ends unstitched. We will subsequently put the filling on the pillow through them. Once we are ready and sew well on the outer and inner edge of the "U" shape, it is time to turn the front of the pillow outward.
Then we start filling with the filling of our choice. We can focus on foam down or silicone filling for this purpose. Once we are ready with this part of the workmanship, we can sew the upper hole, which completes the work on our pillow. The size of the sheet from which it will be made may vary, but the basic rule is to stick to the shape of the letter "U". Sweet and peaceful sleep future mothers!

These conditions during pregnancy require special attention, which is important for both the expectant mother and the course of a normal pregnancy, which ends with the birth of a healthy baby.
