The picnic is not just eating grass, but also relaxing in nature. Even stretching the blanket in the park on the weekends is better than lying on the couch in front of the TV.

On the date June 18 is the best time to talk a little about this enjoyable activity, because we celebrate International Picnic Day.

The picnic was invented by the English nobles, who after hunting stretched out on the meadow, and the servants prepared the game and sandwiches.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the highlife in London formed a community of picnic lovers and everyone took care of certain foods and drinks. Later, the word picnic becomes just a walk with breakfast out of town.

But for the British, breakfast is always rich and the picnic menu once included at least thirty dishes. And now in England it is a common sight in parks for people to lie on the grass, eat sandwiches and read a book.

Cooler bags, plates, utensils, napkins, bottle and can openers, corkscrews… Most people take disposable utensils because they don't have to carry dirty dishes at home afterwards. Don't forget the garbage bag.

There is a whole picnic industry - from special backpacks, baskets and cooler bags to thermoses and travel bags with plates and cutlery.

A good meal requires a plan - what foods you will eat, as well as who will buy or prepare what on the spot. Sandwiches are the easiest to bet on. But for a good feast in nature, prepare more delicacies in advance - chicken, pork, boiled eggs, salads, fruits… You can buy ready-made grilled chicken, legs, sausages.
