A study by the British National Statistical Institute shows that Bulgarians are the most unhappy Europeans, and our people are most dissatisfied with their family and social status.

The study, published in the Guardian, covered people from all over the European Union.

The questions in the surveys were focused on the degree of satisfaction with the good neighborliness between people, family life and social relationships.

In terms of marital and social status, Bulgarians are at the bottom of the list, with only 6.7% of people in the country having a happy family and 5.9% satisfied with their social environment.

According to a Eurostat survey, the happiest Europeans are Danes. Although they are Europeans who pay some of the highest taxes in Europe, this does not prevent them from being happy with life - 91% of Danish people describe their lives as happy.

Bulgarians, on the other hand, belong to the unhappy European nations, as only 39% of our people are satisfied with their lives.

Bulgarians are also among the nations that hardly do sports - only 12% of the country's population is actively involved in sports.

Bulgaria is also the poorest country in the European Union, with the lowest consumption in our country and the highest in Luxembourg.

High levels of consumption are also registered in Germany, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Finland, France and the United Kingdom.
